Fitter & Machinist – Service Centre West Heidleberg

Primary Responsibilities:

• Performing daily tasks across all service areas, including stripping, cleaning, quoting, machining, rebuilding, and testing. Key activities include troubleshooting service issues and escalating technical problems to the relevant service area for resolution.

• Supporting the Workshop Manager in setting and fulfilling the national service plan, ensuring quality and continuous improvement adhere to company procedures.

• Managing inventory control, including receiving, dispatching, parts picking, and ordering, to meet customer service requirements.

• Providing workshop supervision and leadership, mentoring Apprentice Fitters and Machinists, and assisting team members as needed.

• Focusing on quality and continuous improvement, adhering to company procedures and updating job knowledge through educational opportunities.
Essential Position Requirements:
To qualify for this role, you must have:

• Extensive fitting and machining experience, with a demonstrated industry understanding and importance of our products to customers.

• Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, with strong technical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

• Positive, proactive, and innovative thinking with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to resolve conflicts and work autonomously or as part of a team.
