We are currently seeking election support professionals to assist with the upcoming State Elections next year. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who want to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the smooth conduct of elections.

Job Summary

We are looking for individuals to fill multiple roles, including Issuing Officers, Student Electoral Officers, Voter Information Officers, General Assistants, Ballot Box Guards, and Queue Controllers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Issuing Officer: Issues ballot papers to electors on polling day, rotates as a ballot box guard and queue controller, and becomes counting officer after 6 pm on polling day.
  • Student Electoral Officer: Assists in polling place duties, requires year 11 or 12 students, limited hours.
  • Voter Information Officer: Engaged centrally through the Electoral Ambassador program, may be assigned to polling places with high concentrations of culturally and linguistically diverse or indigenous electors.
  • General Assistant: Assists with the setup of a polling place on the night before polling, assists with the count and pack up on polling day.
  • Ballot Box Guard: Ensures correct ballot box papers are put into ballot boxes, becomes counting officer after 6 pm on polling day.
  • Queue Controller: Manages the queue into the polling place, becomes counting officer after 6 pm on polling day.
