Cloud Operations Specialist

Job Description:

Our Cloud Operations team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-native applications and infrastructure.

  • We are seeking an experienced professional to design, deploy, and maintain scalable and reliable application infrastructure in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with Kubernetes clusters and related infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Helm, and ArgoCD.
  • Strong programming skills, preferably in Golang, TypeScript, or Kotlin, will be essential in writing maintainable, production-grade code.
  • Applying CloudOps and SRE fundamentals, including SLAs, SLOs, SLIs, toil reduction, golden signals, and progressive delivery, is crucial in this role.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving networking issues in distributed systems, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and HTTP/S protocols, is also a key responsibility.
  • Performing Linux system administration, including performance analysis, troubleshooting, and automation with shell tools, is required.
Requirements:
  • A strong foundation in software engineering, with experience writing maintainable, production-grade code in at least one modern language.
  • Proficiency in working in Linux-based environments.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Helm, and ArgoCD.
  • Understanding of core CloudOps/SRE concepts, such as SLAs, SLOs, SLIs, toil reduction, and golden signals, and experience applying them in real-world systems.
  • Solid grasp of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, HTTP/S) and adept at troubleshooting distributed systems.
