Randwick City Council is a forward-thinking local government entity serving the vibrant community on Sydney's eastern beaches.

We are seeking an experienced Urban Planner to join our passionate and energetic Strategic Planning team.

The successful candidate will enjoy providing input into research and analysis of strategic planning issues, including demographic trends, recreation, transport, and community facilities planning.

They will contribute towards preparing timely and accurate reports to Councillors, Council staff, and community groups.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing strategies for the review of the Maroubra Junction Town Centre
  • Assisting with the monitoring of development through the design and implementation of various strategies
  • Providing high-quality advice to City Planning's customers and liaising with relevant sections within Council's Information Technology Group

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in urban planning or related field
  • Sound knowledge of Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979 and relevant planning legislation
  • Well-developed skills in research, analysis, and report writing
  • Strong focus on quality customer experience

Salary: $92,641.83-$106,538.10 per annum + 11.5% superannuation
