IT Security Project Lead

Lifebyte Systems is seeking an experienced IT Security Project Lead to drive impactful projects in a dynamic environment. With a strong focus on cybersecurity, this role ensures our systems and data remain secure while aligning with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- We are looking for a proactive leader with a passion for project management, collaboration, and cybersecurity to oversee tasks related to incident response. This includes working closely with IT and security teams to ensure prompt responses to security incidents and guiding teams through recovery and improvement processes.
- The ideal candidate will manage projects that assess and mitigate IT and cybersecurity risks, ensuring all deliverables comply with relevant regulations and industry standards. They will also lead regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement improvements.
- This role involves coordinating the development of security awareness programs, ensuring employees are trained in best practices and understand their role in protecting data and systems. The ability to adjust training initiatives based on evolving threats is essential.
- As an IT Security Project Lead, you will lead continuous monitoring and evaluation of security systems to identify improvement areas. You will report project progress and security metrics to senior management.
- You will work closely with external vendors and agencies to implement security projects, managing communications and ensuring alignment with internal protocols and project timelines. Monitoring the effectiveness of outsourced security efforts and providing direction to meet project objectives is crucial.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly desirable.
- At least 3-5 years of cybersecurity experience is necessary.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing security strategies is essential.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices is required. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills are also essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are necessary.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities is crucial. Proficiency in security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls) is also required.
