About the Role

As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist at Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network, you will be responsible for performing general facility maintenance tasks associated with the interior and exterior of the health unit. Your duties may include rubbish collection, minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, mechanical and grounds maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Selecting, establishing and maintaining simple gardens
  • Installing and maintaining a wide range of watering systems
  • Formulating, preparing and applying herbicides, pesticides, weedicides or speciality fertilisers
  • Performing advanced tractor operations requiring the set up and calibration of a broad range of implements
  • Providing assistance and guidance to other employees, including on the job training

About You

You will have prior experience in building and grounds maintenance, with practical experience in using a wide range of hand and power tools. You will be capable of working with minimum supervision, utilising your initiative and judgement to ensure the timely completion of tasks and activities as directed.
