Merchandise Manager

We are seeking an experienced Merchandise Manager to join our team in Dalby. As a key member of our merchandise team, you will be responsible for building long-lasting partnerships with customers and delivering expert advice and services using your knowledge of agricultural products and supplies.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the sales of rural merchandise, including agricultural chemicals, seed, animal health, animal management, fencing, water equipment, and general merchandise.
- Oversee the associated management of inventory, including forecasting, planning, procurement, ordering, sales processing, logistics, stock controls, and stocktakes.
- Collaborate with management, agronomists, procurement, and other team members to meet the needs and requirements of our clients and customers.
- Manage the regional storage warehouse facility and associated logistics.
- Work closely with supplier representatives to deliver value and solutions to our clients and customers, implementing marketing initiatives to grow our business.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A strong technical background, including experience in pricing and margin management, and sales target achievement through effective category development.
- Relevant agricultural industry knowledge and warehouse management experience.
- The ability to network and identify opportunities for business development.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster solid long-term relationships with customers and key internal stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with SAP ERP and strong MS Excel skills for reporting.
- A forklift ticket and a HR licence, or willingness to obtain.
