Job Overview

At Apprenticeship Central, we are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Fitter Apprentice to join our team. As a Diesel Fitter Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of diesel engines used in earthmoving equipment.

To be considered for this role, you must have 3rd or 4th year apprenticeship experience in diesel fitting and hold a valid driver's license. You should be reliable, mechanically inclined, and open to working overtime hours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair faults on diesel engines used in earthmoving equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of the equipment.
  • Conduct minor and major services on diesel engines, including oil changes and filter replacements.
  • Identify areas for improvement and suggest modifications to optimize equipment performance.
