We are seeking motivated and dedicated individuals to join our Nursing and Midwifery Candidate Pool at Yorke and Northern Local Health Network. As an Assistant in Nursing or Midwifery, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care across various health facilities.

Job DescriptionAs an Assistant in Nursing or Midwifery, your primary responsibility will be to provide essential nursing tasks and support to Enrolled and Registered Nurses in administering general care to residents and patients. This may include assisting with personal care, preparing for nursing procedures, sanitizing equipment, and managing local inventory levels.
Your duties will also encompass maintaining a safe environment, both physically and culturally, for both patients and staff. You will work collaboratively with a care team to ensure seamless delivery of patient care. In addition, you will adhere to established guidelines, protocols, and standards set forth by the organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Enrolled as a student in an undergraduate program in nursing or midwifery and have completed any training required by the employer relevant to the safe and competent performance of work at this level; OR
- Employed on the basis that the person is, or will be, undertaking a course approved by the Registration Authority for the preparation of Enrolled Nurses; OR
- Hold a Certificate III or IV in one of the following health-related disciplines: Basic Health Care, Aged Care, Health Services Assistance (with elective units recommended for AIN Acute care), Home and Community Care, Individual Support Work, or such other nationally recognized courses approved within the healthcare setting by full agreement of DHA and the ANMF.
We offer a competitive salary package of $28.94 - $29.80 per hour, plus 25% casual loading.
