A leading global asset manager is seeking a high-calibre Finance Business Partner to lead a small team that covers both corporate accounting and fund reporting functions from their Sydney office. The role offers a unique opportunity to work in an exceptional office environment with hybrid working options.

Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take on a leadership role and oversee the company's accounting function, general ledger, and financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, excellent leadership skills, and a good understanding of accounting principles and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the company's accounting function.
  2. Maintain the general ledger.
  3. Supervise the Accounting Associate.
  4. Deliver monthly management accounts and quarterly board reports.
  5. Oversee year-end audit and financial reporting process.
  6. Ensure tax compliance.
  7. Monitor and review deliverables of external fund accountant.
  8. Prepare and monitor fund related payments.

Requirements
  1. Around 8+ years of experience, including considerable experience within financial services.
  2. Accounting degree with post graduate qualifications preferred.
  3. Prior team leadership experience preferred.
  4. Good knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
