About the Role

The European Union Delegation to Australia is seeking a Trade Affairs Officer to join its dynamic team. This role will involve monitoring and reporting on trade issues, providing briefings, and representing the EU at conferences and meetings.

Responsibilities
  1. Monitor and report on all trade issues and external economic relations of the EU.
  2. Provide regular press/media reviews and briefings on assigned topics.
  3. Draft speeches, statements, press releases, and articles on trade-related matters.
  4. Develop working relations with national authorities, private sector representatives, and local operators.
  5. Represent the EU in conferences, meetings, and public events.
Requirements
  • A university degree in economics, trade, trade law, political science, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in trade and economic analysis reporting.
  • Excellent knowledge (C1) of English.
  • Right to residence and work in Australia.
