The Occupational Therapist - Rehabilitation Specialist will be part of a multidisciplinary team in the assessment and treatment of patients with various orthopaedic, neurological, and medical conditions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop, implement, and review intervention plans for patients with functional difficulties due to motor, sensory, or cognitive impairments.
- Establish patient-centred goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans in collaboration with the patient, team, and significant others.
- Communicate effectively with the patient, team, and significant others, and act as an advocate for patients and carers on relevant issues.
Requirements:
- Registered with AHPRA, and a recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Demonstrated current skill and knowledge in the assessment, interpretation, implementation, and evaluation of Occupational Therapy plans for rehabilitation patients.
- Ability to function effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Current Driver's License.
