About the Role

The Occupational Therapist - Rehabilitation Specialist will be part of a multidisciplinary team in the assessment and treatment of patients with various orthopaedic, neurological, and medical conditions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop, implement, and review intervention plans for patients with functional difficulties due to motor, sensory, or cognitive impairments.
  • Establish patient-centred goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans in collaboration with the patient, team, and significant others.
  • Communicate effectively with the patient, team, and significant others, and act as an advocate for patients and carers on relevant issues.

Requirements:

  • Registered with AHPRA, and a recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Demonstrated current skill and knowledge in the assessment, interpretation, implementation, and evaluation of Occupational Therapy plans for rehabilitation patients.
  • Ability to function effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Current Driver's License.
