Job Summary:
The Zhiibaahaasing First Nation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Director to lead our Health, Cultural, and Social team. As a key member of our leadership team, the Health Director will be responsible for coaching and guiding the team to plan and organize health programs and services that meet the needs of our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Provide strategic direction and guidance to the Health, Cultural, and Social team to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
- Program Development and Implementation: Develop and implement health programs and services that address the needs of our community, including policy development and procedure implementation.
- Staff Supervision and Development: Supervise and manage staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
- Collaboration and Partnerships: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop and maintain strong relationships that support the delivery of health services.
- Financial Management: Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring financial resources are allocated appropriately to support health programs and services.
- Reporting and Evaluation: Prepare regular reports to senior management on program performance and progress, and make necessary adjustments to ensure success.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years related health services experience, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of health issues specific to First Nations, excellent supervisory skills, and proficiency in administrative tasks such as resource allocation, scheduling, and performance management.
- Personal Qualities: Strong problem-solving abilities, strategic mindset, and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
