Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic direction and guidance to the Health, Cultural, and Social team to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Program Development and Implementation: Develop and implement health programs and services that address the needs of our community, including policy development and procedure implementation.
  • Staff Supervision and Development: Supervise and manage staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop and maintain strong relationships that support the delivery of health services.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring financial resources are allocated appropriately to support health programs and services.
  • Reporting and Evaluation: Prepare regular reports to senior management on program performance and progress, and make necessary adjustments to ensure success.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years related health services experience, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of health issues specific to First Nations, excellent supervisory skills, and proficiency in administrative tasks such as resource allocation, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong problem-solving abilities, strategic mindset, and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
