Job DescriptionAs an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) in our Anaesthetic Department, you will play a vital role in supporting the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure high standards of clinical care. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to coordinate daily operations, provide expert guidance to staff, and foster a culture of excellence and teamwork.
In the absence of the NUM, you will step in to lead the unit, ensuring continuity of care and operational efficiency. You will work closely with the NUM to develop, implement, and evaluate clinical care practices, prioritizing patient safety and quality outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications- You are a Registered Nurse (or eligible for registration) with the Nursing Board of Australia, holding a current practising certificate.
- You have at least three years of post-registration experience or are currently classified as a Clinical Nurse, with demonstrated competence in anaesthetic nursing.
- You possess strong leadership skills, with experience in supervising and mentoring student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.
- You can work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and step into leadership roles when required, ensuring smooth operation of the unit.
- You have a comprehensive understanding of nursing practice standards, healthcare legislation, and workplace safety regulations.
