About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Vetting Specialist to join our team at Oil and Gas Job Search Ltd. As a Vetting Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our business operations by ensuring the security and integrity of our personnel and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver end-to-end clearance application processes for major projects and individual clearance applications.
  • Action aftercare requirements to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Build long-lasting and trustworthy working relationships with our business key security personnel.
  • Collaborate with HR teams, employees, and the People Hub team to ensure effective communication and process adherence.
  • Provide professional advice on vetting-related topics, taking ownership of queries within Business as Usual (BAU).
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in multiple vetting process areas, supporting process delivery standards.
  • Respond to complex queries, supporting resolution of cases from managers and employees in line with governance requirements and service SLAs.
  • Ensure current statutory and legislative requirements are being complied with.
  • Utilize case management and systems to record and maintain accurate records about activities and tasks undertaken, updating vetting applications as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external auditing requirements.
  • Advise the team of changes to policies as per business alignment.
  • Identify areas of improvement and support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a mentor to current and new team members, ensuring new team members are inducted into the team with a comprehensive training plan.
Requirements
  • Experience working within the vetting industry and vetting lifecycle.
  • Strong administration experience.
  • Strong customer service skills, including effective use of case management systems.
  • An ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines with limited supervision.
  • A professional manner and the ability to develop strong working relationships.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to balance conflicting priorities.
  • Able to use own initiative and prioritize.
  • Flexible 'can-do' attitude and approach.
  • Confidentiality and the ability to handle sensitive situations diplomatically.
  • Strong computer skills across the full range of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel, Word, and the use of mail merge.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement.
Essential

National Security Vetting will be required to undertake the role.
