As a Technical Illustrator at Next Day Consulting, you will be responsible for editing, updating and modifying new and existing engineering designs.

This role is based in Brisbane and requires a strong understanding of structural and mechanical design principles.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in technical illustration, with a strong background in AutoCAD and Inventor.

You will be working closely with internal sales teams, external suppliers, clients and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality 2D and 3D design solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating customer specifications and determining solutions to improve their projects
  • Producing Structural Drafts and Mechanical Designs using AutoCAD and Inventor
  • Designing and drafting tanks, belt filters, bins and other complex structures
  • Utilizing Project Planning Tools such as MS Project to maintain Gantt charts
  • Ensuring projects comply with Australian standards and codes
