Job Description

The Payroll Officer is responsible for end-to-end processing of the payroll, contributing to government reporting requirements as well as preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll statements.

This role involves efficiently and accurately carrying out a range of payroll tasks including:

  • Processing payroll for employees on a rotating fortnightly basis.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of staff timesheets.
  • Setting up new employees and updating the employee database as necessary.
  • Inputting and updating data into electronic payroll and financial systems and the SMG database.
  • Managing school chaplain hour budgets.
  • Assisting in the maintenance of policies and procedure documentation.
  • Calculating and reporting superannuation, leave, and return to work.

In addition to these duties, this role also involves handling enquiries relating to payroll, project management, and contributing to the development of financial processes and personal development.
