The position of Senior Structural Engineer is available in a regional Queensland setting. This role will suit a technically strong engineer who thrives in a practical environment, working with assets that are both ageing and critical to operations.
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will oversee structural integrity, design, and compliance across a portfolio of complex industrial facilities, while mentoring graduate engineers and engaging with external design partners.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead design, analysis, and calculations for new and existing structures in compliance with Australian and international standards.
- Provide technical guidance across engineering teams, ensuring projects meet safety, regulatory, and operational requirements.
- Oversee structural drawings, specifications, and deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.
- Degree-qualified in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- 5-10 years' experience in structural engineering, ideally in heavy industry (manufacturing, processing, mining, or similar).
- Chartered or RPEQ registration (or close to obtaining).
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, codes, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in structural analysis/design software.
- Regional leadership exposure across multiple industrial sites.
- Career stability in a nationally significant sector.
