To understand our merchandise business, we need to understand our customers. That's why you'll find us working across all business units at Coles Supermarkets, Liquor and Coles Local. Supermarkets are one of the largest teams at Coles, but we are a close-knit group that comes from all over the world. We're passionate about working at the forefront of merchandising and making sure our customers have quality products at the right price.

About the role

As a Space Planner, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining customer-centric planograms across our Health & Home department that deliver against the agreed business and merchandising objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • See your work come to life on the shelves of Coles Supermarkets
  • Create customer-centric, planograms while deciding on space allocation, product placement, and overall planogram design
  • Develop strong working relationships and support key stakeholders, including category, supply chain, and operational teams
  • Provide detailed analysis to category managers along with recommendations that improve shelf efficiencies, customer availability, and return on space (ROS)

About you and your skills

In this role, you will share your passion and enthusiasm for space planning with a dedicated team. This position will play a pivotal role in transforming the range and space across our fresh business units and will provide the opportunity for career development while working as part of a leading Australian retailer.

You will also:

  • Enjoy problem-solving and data analysis
  • Enthusiasm and passion for space planning and working as part of a team
  • Discipline and results-driven
  • Sound working knowledge of Excel (Pivot/V-Look Ups) with the ability to interpret reports
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, innovative environment
  • Intermediate knowledge of space management tools (preferably JDA Space Planning/Blue Yonder, or have worked with another similar space management software)
