Job Title: Building Operations Manager

Description:

The Australian National University's Facilities and Services Division aims to empower academic excellence through integrated and innovative facilities delivery. The division has three key portfolios: Infrastructure & Planning, Operations, and Corporate.

The Maintenance portfolio is responsible for delivering maintenance activities at the university. This includes managing statutory, preventative, and corrective maintenance, asset management initiatives, and capital renewal programs.

A critical role in the division seeks a Building Operations Manager to shift maintenance services towards a proactive service model. This will be achieved through enhanced business processes and supporting systems.

The successful candidate will be a vital member of the leadership group within the Maintenance Portfolio. They will oversee coordinating and managing cleaning and waste contracts across the university and act as liaison between the maintenance manager and clients in delivering statutory, preventative, and corrective maintenance, minor capital works, and backlog maintenance by the Service Delivery team.

The Building Operations Manager will require a strong background in systems as the custodian of maintenance and asset data for the university. As the division embarks on a complete revamp of its facilities management system, the operations manager will play a crucial role in providing data-driven recommendations to facilities executives as they strive to become leaders in the facilities management space across the university sector.

To succeed in this position, candidates must possess postgraduate qualifications or relevant experience, including experience in the higher education sector or similarly complex facilities management environments.
