  • Ensure compliance with safety and training responsibilities.
  • Develop and implement safety management systems.
  • Provide advice on measures to mitigate hazards and unsafe situations.
  • Implement standard risk management approaches.
  • Advise on HSEQT matters and issues.
  • Conduct formal Alcohol and Drug testing and administer fitness for work processes.
  • Liaise with medical officials and institutions.
  • Carry out workplace inspections.
  • Assist in preparing JHA's and risk assessments.
  • Administer safety-related documentation and maintain the HSE Lucidity software system.
  • Assist in worker rehabilitation management.
  • Facilitate hygiene monitoring and interpret reports.
  • Generate safety reports and correlate safety performance statistics.
  • Spend time in the field completing safety observations and coaching conversations.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies as necessary.

Requirements

  • Cert IV in WHS.
  • First aid certification.
  • Internal auditor qualification.
  • Ideal candidate will have Cert IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of W.A Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and associated regulatory advisory material.
  • Well-developed report writing and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
