Bakery Wrapper Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join our bakery team as a Bakery Wrapper. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining product knowledge, and ensuring the prompt and courteous delivery of our high-quality bakery items.

  • Maintains current product knowledge of bakery items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation techniques.
  • Handles and moves product-filled oven racks, un-trays product from baking pans onto packaging, garnishes baked goods according to item requirements, stacks used baking pans on pan dollies.
  • Scales finished product and records on weight verification sheets to ensure accuracy and quality control.
  • Packages and wraps baked goods by hand or using a wrapping machine, following merchandise manual guidelines to ensure proper handling and presentation.
  • Uses racks or carts to move or stock wrapped product onto tables and pallets, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Responsible for maintaining date rotation and merchandising presentation throughout the day to ensure visual appeal and maximize sales.
  • Assists with other bakery duties as needed, including cleaning and sanitation of equipment and facilities.
  • Completes and complies with all Quality Assurance, Food Safety Certification, and Safety training requirements.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participates in monthly inventory management to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Supports front-end duties as necessary, including receiving and processing customer transactions.
  • Assists in other departments of the warehouse as needed, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
