
Compliance Specialist

In today's complex defence landscape, effective trade compliance is crucial for businesses operating globally. As a Trade Compliance Expert, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our organisation remains compliant with all relevant regulations and laws.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in contract management and a thorough understanding of trade compliance regulations. They will be responsible for administering contracts, establishing and maintaining agreements, and preparing contract change proposals. Additionally, they will need to perform contract authorisation within delegated authority and participate in the development and negotiation of contract and sub-contract agreements.
- Administer contracts as delegated by the Contracts Manager.
- Establish, maintain and amend assigned contracts and agreements in accordance with corporate requirements.
- Prepare and coordinate Contract Change Proposals (CCPs) and Proposals ready for authorisation.
- Perform contract authorisation within delegated authority.
- Participate in the development and negotiation of contract and sub-contract agreements.
As a Trade Compliance Expert, you will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable Australian import/export trade regulations and those of countries with which we interact. This includes overseeing the implementation of licensing requirements, interpreting and explaining licensing requirements and regulations, and assisting in resolving issues.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Business, Finance, Law, or other relevant studies, along with demonstrated background and competencies in applying contract management practice. A good knowledge of contracting principles and ability to prepare and present analysis/presentations to leadership is desirable.
