As a Technical Program Management Specialist, you will spearhead the design and execution of intricate products and services that involve collaboration across various internal teams and external stakeholders. This position empowers you to oversee product architecture, identify patterns in product quality and performance, prioritize tasks on the roadmap, and manage project timelines and release schedules. Key Responsibilities
- Conducts analysis of customer and market signals by assisting colleagues in identifying opportunities and gaps in feature implementation (e.g., product, service), including the comparison of various quality and performance metrics across different solutions.
- Facilitates market research in partnership with other teams and investigates customer and technology-related industry trends, as well as specific industry requirements or regulations. Begins to comprehend how their domain integrates into the broader product or service landscape. Executes experiments to validate hypotheses and guide decisions on feature introduction, with oversight from senior team members.
- Supports collaboration with Software and Hardware Engineering to design architecture and integrated customer solutions addressing technical needs for a feature (e.g., product, service). Assists internal and external technical partners and/or architects in articulating technical solutions to clients.
- Gains understanding of success criteria and performance metrics (e.g., Objectives and Key Results [OKRs], Key Performance Indicators [KPIs] such as quality and performance) for a specific feature (e.g., product, service) and learns how to execute against them.
- Begins to grasp how to collaborate and coordinate across teams to ensure alignment on product management and release, including trade-offs, adjustments, and feasible improvements.
- Assists in partnering with the engineering team to contribute, prioritize, and deliver on the roadmap for a single feature (e.g., product, service). Learns the value proposition for the feature and how to address technical inquiries regarding the feature they manage.
- Complies with governance programs and processes and is aware of specific performance requirements and standards that must be met throughout the development lifecycle. Starts to collaborate with others (e.g., Data Science, Software and Hardware Engineering) to gather performance metrics (e.g., Key Performance Indicators [KPIs] such as usage, quality, speed, and cost), monitors and reports on progress (e.g., business reviews), and derives insights that lead to effective actions for enhancing development, iteration, and implementation of a feature (e.g., product, service).
