Job Title: DataStage ETL Architect

We are seeking an experienced DataStage ETL architect to lead our data integration efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing efficient data pipelines using IBM DataStage.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale ETL processes using DataStage. They will also possess strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for data integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop efficient ETL processes using DataStage to integrate data from various sources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot data processing tasks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Develop and maintain data integration standards and methodologies to ensure consistency across the organization.
  • Perform code reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize data processing tasks.
  • Work closely with data teams to ensure seamless integration of data solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a DataStage ETL architect or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience in using IBM DataStage, including design, development, and testing.
  • Intimate knowledge of combine/sort/aggregate/transform data and creating reusable objects.
  • Excellent SQL coding and querying skills, including proficiency in writing complex queries.
  • Experience in UNIX scripting, FTP, and network principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
