About the Role

Whitsunday Regional Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our production sites, ensuring that all operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where you will have the chance to make a real impact and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning and execution of production activities, ensuring that all operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and manage a team of production staff, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that production activities are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and report on production performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Proven experience in a production management role, with a strong understanding of production processes and operations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement solutions to improve production performance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications, such as a degree in a relevant field or a recognized production management certification.
