The State of Victoria is committed to providing exceptional correctional services, and we are seeking an experienced Prison Services Manager to join our team. As a key member of the prison's Leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping and delivering the prison's annual business plan.

About this role

  • Lead and motivate diverse functional teams responsible for in-prison planning, budget management, human resources, training, stores, accounts, purchasing, and prisoner services including records and property.

This position requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and direct teams towards achieving outstanding outcomes. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans that drive positive change within the prison.

About the Business Unit

The Metropolitan Remand Centre is a maximum-security remand facility based in Melbourne, caring for unsentenced male offenders. Your understanding of the Victorian correctional system and experience working in a public sector environment will be highly valued.

About the Role

This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective delivery of corporate and business support services across the prison. You will manage significant budgets, develop and implement cost-saving strategies, and provide expert advice to the General Manager on financial matters.

You will work closely with stakeholders to achieve shared goals, build relationships, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the prison.
