Assistant Band Director - MS/HS

Job Summary

Seeking a qualified candidate to assist the director in managing the instrumental music and band program for high school and middle school campuses.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the director to develop and implement educational programs designed to promote students' intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
  • Develop and lead engaging learning activities that foster musical skills and knowledge among students.
  • Provide guidance and support to students in achieving their full potential.

Requirements

Education/Certifications

Bachelor's Degree Required

Valid Texas teaching certificate or equivalent

Demonstrated competency in instrumental music

Experience

Student teaching or approved internship experience preferred

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

Posture: Prolonged Standing, Frequent Kneeling/Squatting, Bending/Stooping, Pushing/Pulling, and Twisting

Motion: Frequent Walking/Marching

Lifting: Regular Moderate Lifting and Carrying (15–44 Pounds)
