Senior Audiometrician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audiometrician to join our team in Geraldton, Western Australia.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a well-established hearing clinic with a network of centres nationwide.

As a Senior Audiometrician, you will assess and diagnose client hearing loss using a range of techniques, including audiometric tests. You will report results and make referrals to medical practitioners where necessary.

You will recommend solutions for those with hearing impairment, including amplification, implantable devices, medical interventions, and assistive listening devices. Additionally, you will provide aural rehabilitation programs to support clients' communication needs.

Main Responsibilities:

• Audiometric assessments and diagnosis
• Reporting results and making referrals
• Solution recommendations for hearing impairment
• Aural rehabilitation programs
• Counselling and information provision
• Noise control and hearing conservation strategies
• Treating and managing hearing and communication disorders

Key Qualifications and Skills:

• University Audiology qualification or TAFE Audiometry certification
• Full membership of professional audiological associations (e.g., AudA or ACAud) and current Practitioner Number
• Strong audiological knowledge and skills
• Excellent customer care and service skills
• Ability to learn new software systems
• Proven ability to meet key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Good team working skills
• Ability to network with general practitioners and other allied health professionals
