Position Overview:
As a vital member of our Civil Engineering team in Coffs Harbour, you will be involved in delivering a range of technically complex projects in urban renewal and municipal infrastructure, including but not limited to earthworks, stormwater management, sewer systems, water supply, pavement design, and road engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
Your role will encompass:

  1. Executing innovative civil engineering projects in sectors such as healthcare, sports facilities, commercial properties, and educational institutions.
  2. Supporting the engineering investigation, assessment, design, and documentation processes across diverse sectors.
  3. Designing civil infrastructure related to buildings, roadways, bulk earthworks, and drainage systems.
  4. Effectively managing and communicating project specifications and requirements.
  5. Coordinating multi-disciplinary project delivery using various civil design software tools.

Candidate Profile:
We seek individuals who are proactive in their career development and thrive in a supportive yet autonomous work environment. The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  2. Demonstrated experience as a civil engineer within an engineering consultancy.
  3. Proficiency in preparing detailed designs and documentation for road intersections, pavements, earthworks, and stormwater systems.
  4. The ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently while working independently.
  5. A solid understanding of local government regulations and compliance standards.
  6. Experience with civil design software, particularly 12D Model, with knowledge of CIVIL 3D being advantageous.
  7. Competence in using other civil modeling software such as DRAINS, MUSIC, HEC-RAS, Autoturn, and AutoCAD.
  8. Strong organizational skills to coordinate people and tasks effectively.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  10. Creative problem-solving abilities to navigate challenges and obstacles.
  11. A collaborative team spirit to work effectively across multiple offices.
  12. The capacity to adapt to interruptions and changes in a dynamic work environment.
