About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team at GHD. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our transportation, utilities, and urban development projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project teams and deliver projects to budget, time, and quality for various clients.
  • Provide technical/design expertise and assist in the management of engineering and support staff.
  • Support the development of GHD's civil consultancy both locally and nationally.
  • Contribute to business development, fee proposal writing, and fee estimates.
  • Mentor junior engineers to assist in their development and delivery of solutions for clients.
  • Design and document civil engineering infrastructure, including road design, earthworks, and storm water drainage.
  • Manage project development, design, and construction, ensuring minimization of construction risks.
  • Conduct safety in design reviews and constructability reviews.
  • Manage job delivery on time and within budget, adhering to GHD's QA systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to provide high-quality engineering consultancy services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil).
  • Registered Professional Engineer (RPEQ) or the ability to obtain within 12 months of joining.
  • A passion for design documentation, assessment, and analysis of technical data.
  • Excellent project management skills and the willingness to mentor junior engineers.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written (including report writing).
  • Demonstrated professional judgment and commercial acumen.
  • Ability to produce concise and accurate reports, technical specifications, design calculations, drafting briefs, and mark-ups.
  • Experience in civil engineering design and the delivery of projects from small to medium-sized projects.
  • Knowledge of current civil engineering technologies, including design, modeling, and construction.
