Senior Account Strategy Director

The role of Senior Account Strategy Director is a critical position within our organization, requiring a senior strategic leader to provide guidance and leadership to a division or team. This individual plays a core role in the senior management team, ensuring that their division or team delivers profitable, creative, and forward-thinking client service. The Senior Account Strategy Director will be responsible for developing client relationships by identifying and selling additional services, directly impacting revenues and income.

Key responsibilities include leading the new business process in collaboration with the Managing Director and/or the local and regional leadership team, making key decisions, and playing a crucial role in selling our credentials throughout the tender process. The Senior Account Strategy Director will also lead credentials and pitches for clients, develop strategic insight, messaging, and creative concepts, generate and nurture new business prospects, and maximize opportunities for new clients from within an extended network.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Senior Account Strategy Director will work as a senior leader to ensure account profitability and optimize revenues for the business. They will demonstrably grow client revenues, drive a proactive approach to upselling services and projects, increase retainer budgets, and direct and manage strategic relationships with clients. The Senior Account Strategy Director will take responsibility for ensuring excellent client communication at all levels, defining KPIs, deadlines, and service agreements.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have highly commercial skills with strong strategic client consultancy abilities. You should have relevant experience working in a B2B, corporate, consumer, or digital communications agency environment at an Associate Director, Director, or Head of level. You must be well-versed in social media and the integration of digital marketing into the wider communications landscape. Additionally, you should be able to provide consultancy on comms requirements and broader marketing strategy. A track record of retention and the profitable growth of existing accounts, demonstrable success at securing new business, and increasing client revenues are essential. Finally, you should be considered, assertive, and influential, with the skills and aptitude to develop and motivate a team.
