Leading Irrigation Specialist
This position is part of the Parks Services team, overseeing day-to-day operations and providing direction to a team of irrigation technicians. As a key member, you will ensure efficient use of groundwater resources and maintain high standards for irrigation systems.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations and provide guidance to irrigation technicians.
- Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve issues affecting irrigation systems.
- Monitor and optimize irrigation system performance to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct routine inspections to detect potential issues and prevent equipment failures.
- Extensive knowledge of commercial irrigation systems and their maintenance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to diagnose complex system faults.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in leading teams and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform decision-making.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices related to workplace health and safety.
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently, with a focus on delivering results-oriented solutions.
- Physical stamina required for regular site visits and hands-on maintenance activities.
