About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Heavy Hauling Operations Manager to oversee daily activities, ensure safety protocols are followed, and plan personnel and equipment for large transport operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and supervising daily activities of work crews
  • Demonstrating strong communication skills and delivering effective messages
  • Managing employee safety, well-being, and development
  • Planning personnel and equipment for safe execution of large transport operations
  • Liaising with engineering, planning/logistics, and administration teams
  • Liaising with clients and key stakeholders (Ports & Main Roads Authorities)
  • Motivating work crews and ensuring operational risks are managed in a high-pressure environment
  • Promoting a 'One Team' approach and ensuring team-focused solutions with clients and internal stakeholders
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years of supervision experience within Heavy Lift/Heavy Haul scopes, ideally in a construction project environment
  • Previous experience in SPMT Operation (Cometto experience is advantageous)
  • A strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on SPMTs and specialised heavy lift equipment
  • The ability to plan large transport operations and interpret technical/engineering documents relevant to transport operations
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Experience in delivering safe and reliable service solutions while focusing on client relationships
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A valid Australian Driver's License
  • Proof of right to work in Australia
