About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our leadership team in Canberra. As a key member of our Property and Buildings team, you will be responsible for leading and delivering current civil engineering projects from inception through to construction.

With a strong background in Australian civil engineering projects, you will have a solid understanding of relevant Standards and Codes, as well as experience in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects. Your excellent client relationship management and project management skills will enable you to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and a national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver current civil engineering projects from inception through to construction
  • Manage ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with clients
  • Work in a varied, hands-on role with a leadership angle across design management, superintendency, and site surveillance
  • Delegate and supervise the work of junior engineers
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Solid industry experience on Australian civil engineering projects in a consulting environment
  • Well-versed in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects ranging in scale and sector
  • Strong client relationship management and project management skills
  • Sound working knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes (AS/NZS 3500, NCC, etc.)
  • Proficiency with 12D and Civil 3D (desirable but not essential)
  • Drainage software experience preferred
