Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic / HD Fitter Job Opportunity

Hitachi Construction Machinery is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic / HD Fitter to join our team in Port Hedland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing breakdown, service, and planned maintenance support on a range of Hitachi Construction and Mining equipment.

The Role
  • Perform onsite repairs on a variety of Hitachi equipment, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of issues.
  • Attend to site breakdowns within Port Hedland and surrounding areas, providing expert technical support.
  • Undertake diagnostic work to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Liaise with customers within the territory, building strong relationships and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Work closely with internal technical support staff to achieve successful maintenance and repair outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Embody and promote the HCA Safety Culture, ensuring a safe working environment for all.
  • Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) mobile plant trade qualifications.
  • Have experience, knowledge, and understanding of civil and mining equipment.
  • Be able to work autonomously in remote areas, with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
  • Have good technical knowledge and diagnostic ability, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
