The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Podiatrist to join our team in providing high-quality podiatric care to residents across a range of aged care facilities and client's homes.
This is a locum role with the potential for a full-time position if suitable. We understand that Melbourne is a large location, and we will work with you to find locations that suit your needs and preferences.
As a mobile Podiatrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive podiatry assessments and treatments to our clients. You will also be required to maintain quality documentation and treatment planning procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessing, diagnosing, treating, and evaluating abnormalities and diseases related to the foot and lower limb
- Diabetic foot health assessments
- Contributing towards the patient's chronic disease management plan
- Providing treatment for high-risk patient groups
- Offering footwear and foot care advice and education to patients, family members, staff, and carers
- Making referrals to other healthcare professionals as appropriate
- Biomechanical assessments
- Maintaining quality documentation and treatment planning procedures
- Undertaking administrative tasks such as ensuring stock levels are maintained and equipment is kept in good working order
About You
We are looking for a qualified, fully AHPRA-registered Podiatrist with a minimum of 1 year's experience in a community or aged care setting. You will need to be comfortable traveling to our clients and providing your own vehicle.
This role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of Australians by working with them to improve their foot function and mobility.
