**Job Opportunity for Bookkeeper**

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to work in a dynamic and innovative environment.

**Key Responsibilities**: Record financial transactions, classify and code them appropriately. Update and maintain the general ledger ensuring accuracy and completeness. Reconcile accounts regularly. Process invoices, payments, and receipts. Manage accounts payable and receivable. Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules. Reconcile bank statements with the general ledger. Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

  • Diploma in accounting
  • Intermediate computer software skills, including Excel and Accounting packages (Xero experience desirable)
  • Ability to stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting standards
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role within Australia required
  • Valid Australian driver's license

Good communication skills, as bookkeepers often work with other departments and external stakeholders. Maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality in handling financial information. Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information. Ability to analyse financial data and provide meaningful insights.
