Job Description

As an Electrical Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance work on plant items according to the contracts managed by our organisation. This role contributes to the safe, effective, and profitable operation of our sites by ensuring compliance with safety standards, delivering high-quality maintenance services, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

This position involves performing planned and reactive maintenance in a petrochemical environment, troubleshooting, calibrating, repairing, and servicing fixed plant instrumentation and electrical assets. You will also execute planned and unplanned breakdown maintenance, maintenance and fault finding, general electrical maintenance, and minor project work.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical instrumentation and control, with a Grade A Electrical License and relevant certification. Prior experience in a heavy industrial trade environment and proven ability to plan and prioritise work effectively are also highly desirable.

We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual who can work autonomously, maintain assets in a safe and reliable condition, and participate in a call-out/on-call roster.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Grade Electrical License
  • Certificate 3 or 4 in Instrumentation & Control or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a heavy industrial trade environment
  • Proven ability to plan and prioritise work effectively
  • Current Drivers Licence

  • Confined space trained (Desirable)
  • Working At Heights (Desirable)
  • Hazardous wiring (Desirable)
  • HV Switching (Desirable)
