Our organization is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join our team in Australia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial crime compliance and regulatory risk management.
The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring the organization's adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. This will involve providing sound advice and guidance to business units, reviewing and implementing policies and procedures, and conducting regular monitoring and testing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert advice on regulatory and compliance matters to support the organization's business objectives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements and implement necessary updates to policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective implementation of compliance programs.
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience in financial crime compliance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Australian financial services regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop recommendations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
