Senior Tax Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our tax consulting division, you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice on income tax and GST matters to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare complex tax technical research and written advice on income tax and GST matters
  • Interpret legislation, case law, and ATO guidance to support client solutions
  • Work with senior advisors, managers, and directors to service our diverse client base

You will have the opportunity to work alongside our tax team and other service lines to consult clients on a wide variety of generalist income tax and GST issues. This may include business sales, restructures, various CGT concessions and rollovers, tax consolidations, and international tax issues.

The successful applicant will have a strong background in corporate tax consulting in either a Big 4 or a significant second-tier accounting practice. Candidates with corporate business experience will also be considered.

Requirements:
  • Strong tax technical knowledge and commercial insight
  • Experience interpreting legislation, case law, and ATO guidance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive approach to identifying tax issues and delivering solutions
  • Professionalism, integrity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • CA or CPA certification underway or already completed – desirable but not essential
