Job Opportunity

The Consultant Psychiatrist will provide urgent mental health assessments, risk management, and brief interventions for adults in crisis as part of the Acute Care Mental Health Team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough mental health assessments and crisis interventions
  • Collaborating with stakeholders for comprehensive care and discharge planning
  • Delivering evidence-based therapeutic support that is trauma-informed

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Current registration as a Social Worker, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Counsellor (AHPRA/AASW registration as applicable)
  • Experience working in acute or community mental health settings
  • Strong skills in crisis assessment and intervention
  • Valid NSW driver's licence
  • NSW Working With Children Check

This is a 12-week contract position with potential extension, offering a daily meal allowance and travel and accommodation support. Work in a supportive multidisciplinary team environment.
