About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Manager to lead our Retail Banking Services (RBS) and Bankwest (BW) Investigations team within Financial Crime Operations (FCO). As a key member of the FCO leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD) and Transaction Monitoring Investigations team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial crime management, obligations, and expertise in ECDD and/or TM. They will also possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to develop and mentor a dynamic group of leaders responsible for large, scaled operations teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategies to meet Group Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and assist in the identification of relevant financial crime risks
  • Represent FCO at senior briefings and committees, providing insight and utilising your financial crime expertise to recommend pathways to senior leaders
  • Lead and implement a strong culture of quality, productivity, and continuous improvement
  • Develop an understanding of current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and escalate process deficiencies and risks, implementing plans to mitigate identified risks
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need established financial crime deterrence skills and tools, focussed on ECDD and/or TM. Experience leading large, scaled operations teams or in second-line defence (FCC) would be beneficial.

Familiarity with project and/or change management communication, understanding of retail banking products, and effective team management skills to prioritise business outcomes are also essential.
