About the Role
The Senior Psychologist is a key member of an interdisciplinary team, providing delegated line management, professional support, and supervision to psychologists and provision psychologists. They work closely with children and young people with developmental, cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral, and physical difficulties, and exceptional needs, including giftedness, and their families. The Senior Psychologist develops evidence-based psychological interventions, including proactive, targeted, and intensive strategies, that can be adapted for learning and home contexts.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, retain, and support psychologists to meet professional and service delivery standards.
- Develop and implement evidence-based psychological interventions.
- Work collaboratively with the Team Manager, other Senior Psychologists, psychologists, preschool and school staff, and parents.
- Provide professional support and supervision to psychologists.
Requirements
- Current and full registration (general) with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor.
- Area of practice endorsement – educational and developmental psychology and/or clinical psychology and/or counselling psychology.

Additional Information
- The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed.
- The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN–EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course.
