Allied Health Assistant

The Rural Health Team at Gateway Health is seeking an Allied Health Assistant to join our team. As an Allied Health Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering flexible and timely Allied Health services/programs focusing on building and/or maintaining independence and social inclusion.
Key Responsibilities- Completing administrative tasks such as rostering, scheduling, file audits, and record keeping.
- Engaging clients and providers and developing trusting and professional relationships with them.
- Liaising with staff, leadership team, and relevant stakeholders.
- Scheduling meetings and diary management.
- Undertaking administrative tasks related to delivery of Aged Care and Disability as required.
We are looking for someone with impeccable attention to detail, the ability to prioritise and multitask, and a cheerful and proactive attitude. You will possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including computer literacy.
The successful applicant will have a Cert IV Allied Health Assistance certificate or equivalent, demonstrated competency in the delivery of both individual support programs and group therapy programs as delegated by an Allied Health Professional, and a demonstrated understanding and sensitivity of barriers experienced by frail older people, people living with chronic disease, people with disabilities, and their carers living in rural areas.
