About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join our team at Karana Community in Kew, Victoria, on a casual basis. This role focuses on providing comprehensive clinical care to consumers, working as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and management to care staff, promoting a team-based environment that prioritizes consumer needs.
- Ensure all staff reporting to you are working within their scope of practice and maintaining Baptcare standards in terms of care delivery, professionalism, and customer-focused approach.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with colleagues, staff, consumers, and families, respecting individual privacy and dignity.
- Ensure safe and secure management of medications.
- Contribute proactively to the continuous improvement process and explain it to stakeholders.
- Maintain your own educational and professional development within your scope of practice.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Experience working in the Aged Care Sector or with elderly people
- Proficient in computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and basic Excel
- Ability to meet and perform the inherent requirements of the role
