**Join Our Team**
We're seeking an experienced Business Development Officer, Space to join our team at the Department of State Development. As a key member of the Invest SA group, you'll work closely with the Business Development Manager, Space, to manage investment projects across the Space sector.
In this exciting role, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Develop and implement business development strategies to attract investment and grow the Space sector in South Australia.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and investors, including industry leaders, researchers, and government officials.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify areas of competitive strength, growth potential, and investment opportunities for South Australia.
- Prepare and present reports and briefings to senior management and government officials, using data and insights to inform business decisions.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the department to ensure stakeholder communications are well managed and quality detailed reports and briefings are developed on time.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Experience in business development, preferably in the Space and/or Defence and/or Hi-Tech sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and utilize customer information for marketing purposes.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to prepare complex reports and briefings.
- High-level integrity, diplomacy, and entrepreneurial drive, with the ability to manage commercially and politically sensitive matters discreetly.
