About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Estimator to join our team in Perth. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a critical role in the preparation of accurate estimates and the execution of tenders. Your primary focus will be on working closely with the Senior Management team to ensure timely and successful tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support bids from concept to completion.
  • Ensure tenders are managed in a timely manner for senior management review.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with sub-contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
  • Identify and explore creative value engineering opportunities.
  • Mentor and share experience with junior team members.
  • Assist in the development of the tender strategy and manage tender deliverables.
  • Identify and record risks, and ensure they are accounted for within the tender.
  • Ensure tender submissions meet any closure deadlines and are in the required format.
  • Manage post-tender correspondence and respond to queries raised under the approval of the Pre-Contracts Manager.
  • Support the Pre-Contracts Manager and Commercial Manager in negotiations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience estimating within an electrical engineering environment.
  • Ideal proficiency in the use of Rated Power or similar software.
  • Demonstrated ability in comprehension and interpretation of contractual documents, specifications, and drawings.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in contract tendering procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in pricing a wide range of renewable energy projects.
