Are you passionate about gaming and looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience with Linux graphics and a keen eye for detail?

  • We are seeking a skilled Software Engineering Manager to lead our Ubuntu Gaming team. In this role, you will be responsible for optimising and expanding the Ubuntu gaming experience.
  • You will work closely with upstream projects like Proton and partners like Unity to enhance Ubuntu's gaming capabilities.
  • Our ideal candidate will have exceptional software project management skills, including risk assessment and resource allocation.
What We Are Looking For

In addition to your technical expertise, we are looking for someone who is a strong communicator and can effectively manage a team of engineers.

  • An undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative about your alternative chosen path.
  • Familiarity with the Linux graphics stack spanning user-space components to low level kernel drivers.
  • Exceptional planning skills, demonstrated by your capacity to manage multi-cycle improvements.
