About the Role

The successful candidate will support the delivery of transport operational processes and provide excellent service to Spotlight stores and customers. Key responsibilities include ensuring all paperwork and systems are completed for each vehicle being loaded and departing from the Distribution Centre, as well as assisting the Transport Team with day-to-day transport deliveries across all lanes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure team and Distribution Centre compliance with safety protocols and report incidents, hazards, or accidents.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve delivery issues.
  • Perform transport operational duties, including updating SCMS, preparing con notes, and dispatching trucks with appropriate paperwork.
  • Perform labelling duties as required.
  • Comply with company policies, team member agreements, and standard operating procedures.
  • Cover for other transport administrators in times of absence or leave.
  • Strive for higher levels of competence, continual improvement, productivity, and occupational health and safety.
  • Resolve pallet discrepancies, increase pallet accurateness for all deliveries, linehauls, and rail loads.
  • Consolidate reports on late arrivals and departures of local, linehaul, and rail vehicles.

About You

  • Demonstrated prior experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in retail or at a Distribution Centre is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask in all aspects of the role.
  • Positive attitude with flexibility to take on additional tasks and adapt to the workday as required.
